Talk event last night and progress / 昨晩のトークイベントと進行状況
My talk event was held last night at Lostgens' Contemporary Art Space, Kula Lumpur, Malaysia.
Thank you everybody who came over for my event in spite of sudden hard rain.
昨晩マレーシア、クアラルンプールのロストジェンでの自分のトークイベントが開催された。
突然の激しい雨にもかかわらずいらして頂いた皆さんありがとうございました。

(2) A Street Sculptor
When I have been wandering around the Muslim area in Kuala Lumpur, I occasionally encountered a street sculptor in the street. I realized soon that he must be homeless. He was busy to make some kind of installation with using rubbishes on the street fence. While my observing him, he has kept stepping back to keep a distance to see whole installation he made, and he has kept approaching to the installation to change the shape of it until he got satisfied with the result.
I see the way he has been doing in front of me was totally the same way we make art works as artists. I thought he has an artistic sensibility. I asked him, do you mind, if I take pictures of your stuff. He said it's ok. After taking pictures, I left the site. I bought a cold water and got some changes in the nearest the convenience store of the Seven Eleven. I wanted to give them to him. But when I came back to the site in less than 10 min, he has already gone. Though I have been waiting for his coming back for over half an hour under the heat, I could never meet him again unfortunately.
クアラルンプールのイスラムエリアを歩き回っている時、たまたま道で、ストリートスカラプター(スートリート彫刻家)に出会った。すぐに、彼がホームレスであることに気づいた。彼は通りのフェンスの上にゴミを使ったインスタレーションを作るのに忙しそうだった。彼を観察している間、彼は何度もインスタレーションから距離をとって遠くから眺め、またインスタレーションに近づいては、彼が納得するまでインスタレーションの形を調整していた。
彼が自分の前でやっていた行為はまさに、自分たちが作品をつくる時にやることと同じことだった。彼には芸術的な感性があるに違いないと思った。作ったものの写真を撮ってもいいですかと聞いたら、快くいいよと言ってくれた。写真を撮影した後、その場を離れ、一番近くにあったコンビニのセブンイレブンに行き、冷たい水とお釣りをゲットした。何故なら、それらを彼に渡したかったからだ。しかしながら、その場に戻ると彼はもうそこにはいなかった。炎天下の中、彼の帰りを30分以上待ったが、残念ながら彼にもう二度と出会うことはできなかった。
During my residency in Kuala Lumper, I have kept getting many unexpected and interesting encounters which happen only one time.
As I will have a solo exhibition at Lostgens' Contemporary Art Space from end of March, I have been thinking to make a title of my solo exhibition as "Once-in-a-lifetime experience / 一期一会"
クアラルンプールでのレジデンスの最中、何度となく、予期しなかった一回のみの面白い出会いがたくさんあった。三月の終わりにロストジェン・コンテンポラリー・アート・スペースで個展を開催するように、個展のタイトルを「一期一会」にしようかと思っている。

1 cockroach in Lostgens' was trapped next day.
翌日一匹のロストジェンにいるゴキブリが早速罠にはまった。
(2) A Street Sculptor
