クアラルンプールを歩き回る

The guy I met in MES 56, Yogyakarta called me "Shiro" in the street. But I didn't remember him. Sorry! As he said he is going back to Yogya, I told him to say hello to everybody in the MES.
ジョグジャカルタの MES 56で出会った兄ちゃんに「士郎」と道端で呼びかけられた。しかし、申し訳ないことに、彼のことを覚えてなかった。彼はジョクジャに戻るらしいので、MESの皆によろしくと伝えた。

During my staying in Asian countries, many people think I'm local  and they have been used to talk to me with local language.
But, when I was walking in the China town in Kuala Lumpur, the guy in the street shop recognized me as a Japanese. He spoke to me with Japanese and he called me "Chinko!" which means "Dick!" in Japanese. Some Japanese people might feel offensive about how he told me. And they might be angry with the way he speak to me like that. But I have been wondering why this guy told me "Chinko!".  He actually kept repeating "Chinko!" again and again when I was wandering around China town.

Since next day I have started feeling like I want to meet the guy again to interview him with a video camera for my work. So I have brought there my action video camera of the GoPro again. But I could never meet him again though I went to the China town many times since then.  I can never forget about the guy.

次の日から、このおっさんに作品のためビデオカメラでインタビューしたいなと思うようになった。なのでアクションビデオカメラの自分のGoProを持って、中華街の現場を何度も訪れたが、それ以来そのおっさんに会うことは一度もなかった。あのおっさんの存在が気になってしょうがない。

With the same way I cannot forget about the taste of the special fried chicken dish which is not in the menu of the restaurant Ah Piao took me in the 1st day of my arrival. Since then I have kept going to the same Chinese restaurant on my own to try to order the dish in my memory.  Even after I asked Piano how to order this dish to him, the dish came to me has been always the different taste with the one I ate. Somehow I could never eat the same tasted dish in my memory again. (The picture below is the different tasted chicken dish with the one I ate)
同じように、到着した初日にピャオがご馳走してくれたメニューに載ってない、特別なフライドチキンの味を忘れることができなかった。その日以来自分で何度も同じ中華料理屋に通い続け、記憶のチキン料理を注文しよう試みた。ピャオにどうやって料理を注文するか聞いた後でさえ、なぜか料理の味は違うものだったのである。何故か、あの自分の記憶に残っているチキン料理を二度と味わうことはできなかった。(写真は味の違うチキン料理)

Unfortunately our kite didn't fly properly in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

インドネシアのジョクジャカルタでは残念ながら我々の凧はまともに飛ばなかったらしい。

Instead of me, Fajar delivered my 2 pictures of their students and their alumni to the Photography Department of ISI Yogyakarta. The head of photography department was delighted with my presents.

自分の代わりにファジャーがジョグジャカルタの芸術大学の写真学科に彼らの生徒の写真と卒業生の写真を届けてくれた。写真学科の主任教授が自分のプレゼントを喜んでくれたらしい。
